Therefore, having a certain brand in your phone only answers whether the user has obtained the tool; it cannot directly answer whether the merchant has connected a compatible receiving end. Seeing the same QR code does not mean every App, scanning direction, and funding source can complete the transaction. The Common QR has solved an important layer, but the publicly available acquiring page of the Bank of Taiwan also shows that boundaries remain. The "Main Scan" list on that page lists 11 tools: Taiwan Pay, Jiekou, Fullpay, EasyWallet, iPass, etc. The "Be Scanned" list is shorter and limits QR Auth specifications.
