War removed the bridge’s steel from the Zhuoshui River, directing it toward military use. Later, the Zhongsha Bridge and other transportation routes took over its original transport functions. The Cultural Heritage Network records that Xiluo Bridge is still open to traffic but is no longer the only north-south artery. After its transportation role changed, the bridge’s value did not automatically become purely scenic. It still faces practical issues such as deck maintenance, traffic safety, steel rust prevention, and cross-county management coordination.
