The Beginning: From Creator to Poet

On March 11, 2026, during a walk through the streets of Taipei, Che-Yu wrote down a line:

"Creating poetry-like refreshing combinations, and collecting transformations that wish to become eternal moments"

This brief sentence captured an important transformation — an evolution from being a "creator" to becoming a "poet." Instead of obsessing over creating eternal, unchanging life, he learned to thoughtfully preserve fleeting moments.

Expanding: What If We Could Do the Same for Taiwan?

Six days later, on March 17, a bigger idea emerged:

What if we could do the same for Taiwan? What if we could curate the scattered aspects of Taiwan into a complete portal, and share it with the world?

On the very day this thought appeared, we:

• Purchased the taiwan.md domain
• Built the Astro project architecture
• Wrote the first article (night market culture)
• Established the knowledge base foundation (20+ topic categories)

Why Taiwan.md?

The choice of this name carries multiple layers of meaning:

Technical Level:

• .md = Markdown, the most universal document format in the programming world
• Using the most AI-friendly format to help the world understand Taiwan

Symbolic Level:

• .md happens to be Moldova's country code top-level domain
• Taiwan + Markdown = connecting the world through open-source spirit

Serendipitous Fortune:

• Surprisingly, no one had registered the taiwan.md domain yet
• Perhaps the universe was telling us it was time to make this happen
